Improving and Enhancing the World
In keeping with Jewish tradition and values, Jacob is completing a service project as a part of his Bar Mitzvah.

Jacob is concerned about food insecurity in Washington, DC. For his service project, Jacob has been making 60-70 trail mix bags a month for Martha’s Table to distribute. One of Martha’s Table’s key missions is to increase access to healthy food and support children and families. Over the past few years, Jacob has also volunteered with school and Temple food drives.

Jacob would also like to highlight the incredible work of the DC Food Project. The DC Food Project was launched in 2018 by parents of Jacob’s Stoddert Elementary classmates, to help school children and their families secure additional food, including over the weekends when school meals are not available.
